Learn more about the Centre for History in Public Health
The centre was established in 2003, and promotes the undertaking of high quality research to contribute to historical understanding of public health policy. Historical understanding is crucial to understand why public health looks the way it does today, and where it might go next. The centre is comprised of a multidisciplinary team, and works actively in public engagement, arranging walks, films and seminars available to staff, students and the general public.
Our distance learning programme in Public Health, one of our most popular courses, is offered through the University of London and can be taken as a postgraduate certificate, postgraduate diploma or MSc.
