We can look again at what Fox wrote about his travels by visiting the Lancaster University website exploring Quakerism in the Northwest.

There are four pages here:

  • The first starts where we left Fox last week in Pendle Hill

  • Then one which takes us to Sedbergh

  • The next two tell us what happened on Firbank Fell – part 1 and part 2

You might like to come back to these Firbank Fell pages after you have seen all of this week’s films.

What is your reaction to the language of the journal? Please post your thoughts in the comments section.

Bear in mind that the journal is not a diary but is written as a retrospective record of what Fox felt was important to pass on to future generations.
