The Pendle Hill story

The Pendle Hill story

Watch this video to find out what happened to Fox after 1647, how he spent a year in jail in Derby in 1650, and how he then came north to Yorkshire to find further support for his ideas.

In the spring of 1652 Fox travels from Yorkshire to Lancashire and feels “led by God” to climb Pendle Hill.

On the top and on the way down, he has a vision of “great people to be gathered”, a sign that the Quaker network is to become new church.

He is also shown where this people will be, at Sedbergh.
