Ramon Llull, Ars compendiosa medicinae

This beautiful diagram combines the wheel and the tree.

It belongs to a handwritten copy (1450-1457) of Llull’s work Ars compendiosa medicinae (1285-1287?), kept at the Biblioteca de Catalunya (Barcelona).

The diagram inspired the installation by Perejaume (2016) which you saw in the previous step. The wheel that acts as the root would mean that logic upholds all knowledge, knowledge structured according to ramifications resulting from the combination of the elements provided by the wheel.
