Negative consequence of not getting enough sleep is laziness afterwards. So if I end up having a big workload after not getting enough sleep, I either procrastinate even more and sleep more or I just don't get the work done. I can be a little bit snippy, crabby, irritable. When If I drive around 3 o'clock in the afternoon, if I drive and I don't have enough sleep, I literally have to pull off the road and take a quick nap. But, that's mostly my danger is driving. When I'm really tired, I am not able to focus during class.

Skip to 1 minute and 9 secondsAnd also I don't drive as much on campus, but in my hometown during high school if i didn't get a lot of sleep I felt it was really dangerous to drive around. Not getting enough sleep, sometimes i wake up and be dizzy. A couple days ago I had a sore shoulder. I think that was from not enough sleep.

You can probably think of examples in your own life when lack of sleep has affected you. We understand that healthy sleep is important, but in our modern day societies, we often accept lack of sleep as a way of life. It's understandable why this happens. We have lots of demands on our time and we have access to amazing technologies that allow us to communicate with the world around us often at the expense of our own sleep. When we recognize the value of healthy sleep we can start to implement change in our own lives.
