I'm really glad to find out a bit more about applying to university, and it's definitely confirmed the decision that higher education is for me. I also really enjoyed learning about different subjects. I had no idea how varied the life sciences were. I personally found the genetics aspect very interesting and it seems like that might be the subject for me. I just find the idea that our DNA controls so many aspects of our lives absolutely fascinating. But hey, I'm getting ahead of myself. And there are many more subjects to learn about. The variety of careers also surprised me.

Skip to 0 minutes and 39 secondsIt's very exciting to know that we're going into a subject with so much variety and opportunity. I'm really looking forward to next week, where we'll look in a bit more depth at some of the career pathways that life science graduates can take, as well as thinking a bit more about how to make the most of the time we spend at university. And on top of that, we'll speak to more life scientists about the route they took. Hope to see you then.

End of week one
