Educators

Sara Calvo

Dr Sara Calvo is a Senior Lecturer and the Social Enterprise Coordinator at the Enterprise Development Hub at Middlesex University Business School. She has carried consultancy work with a wide range of charities and social enterprises in South America, Africa, Asia and Europe. She is also the co-founder and director of a social enterprise organisation, Living in Minca, a documentary filmmaker and has conducted extensive research about social enterprise and visual research. Jeremy Wade

Jeremy is the Founding Director of the Jindal Centre for Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship (JSiE), a social innovation lab at OP Jindal Global University in North India. He teaches at the Jindal School of Liberal Arts & Humanities and leads an incubation program for Tibetan refugee entrepreneurs living in India. Jeremy started his career at the US Treasury Department and moved to India in 2012. Connect with Jeremy on Twitter.

Andres Morales

Andres Morales is a Researcher at The Open University and is currently conducting a PhD about social enterprises and indigenous communities in Colombia and is the co-founder of Living in Minca. Prior to this, he worked as a General Manager for a social business company in London. He has a wide range of experience working as a social enterprise consultant as well as an educator in several European, African, Asian and Latin American countries. See more about Andres here.

Natalia Czuba

Natalia Czuba is an educator at heart with a wealth of experience in educational technology. Currently, she works at Middlesex University where she supports academics and other staff with using modern technology to facilitate learning and help students achieve their full learning potential. Natalia has experience working in Middlesex Wellbeing Foundation – a social enterprise that helps to organize student placements in The Gambia.

Isabel Salovaara

Isabel Salovaara is the Assistant Director of the Jindal Centre for Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship. Isabel has interfaced with the social entrepreneurship field through volunteering in the innovative Health Leads program to provide clinic-based social services, developing the application process for a social venture fund at Harvard Law School, and working for an educational consulting startup in Delhi.

Servane Mouazan

Servane Mouazan founded Ogunte Community Interest Company (CIC), a certified B-Corp that helps create ‘a better world’, powered by women. Ogunte has supported over 5000 female change-makers; developed the first incubator for women social entrepreneurs in the UK and run the International Women’s Social Leadership Awards with over 130 finalists from 23 countries. Servane is running the Womanity Award and also serves on various advisory boards focusing on gender equality and women’s empowerment. See more about Servane here.

Fergus Lyon

Fergus Lyon is a Professor of Enterprise and Organisations in the Centre for Enterprise and Economic Development Research, Middlesex University in London and Deputy Director of the ESRC Centre for the Understanding of Sustainable Prosperity. Recent funders include the Economic and Social Research Council, Cabinet Office, Dept of Business Innovation Skills, Innovate UK, International Labour Organisation, and a number of charities. R Sudarshan

R Sudarshan is Professor and Dean and Executive Director, Centre for Ethics, Law and Political Economy at Jindal School of Government and Public Policy in India. Professor Sudarshan’s experience in the international development field includes work with the Ford Foundation and a distinguished career with the United Nations Development Programme.

Vesselin Popovsky

Vesselin Popovsky is Professor and Vice Dean and Executive Director, Centre for the Study of United Nations at Jindal Global Law School in India. From 2004 to 2014, he worked as Senior Academic Officer at the United Nations University in Tokyo. Earlier in his career, he served as a Bulgarian diplomat (1988-1996) in Sofia, New York and London.
