Hi I'm Jeremy Wade the Founding Director of the Jindal Centre for Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship A social innovation lab in North India. This course is about taking a social enterprise idea and turning into a sustainable venture.

What social problem is your idea trying to solve? How do you understand that problem? and how do your customers or beneficiaries understand the problem? How do they see your solution to that problem? And finally, is your idea innovative? In week two we’ll work on your social enterprise venture model. You will be introduced to tools and approaches to how to do this. Like principles for human centered design The business model canvas And theory of change We'll also discuss what makes a good social enterprise team and show you case studies from around the world.

In this video, you will meet educators Sara Calvo, Jeremy Wade and Andres Morales.

This course is a must for anyone who wants to launch a social enterprise. It will help you understand the problem your social enterprise is trying to address, consider the level of innovation in your idea, and build your business plan and your team.

Over the next three weeks, you will identify the problem your idea is trying to solve, design your social enterprise venture model and prepare to take it to market. At the end of the course (Step 3.11) you will have the opportunity to participate in a competition. We’ll share further details in Step 1.4.
