Beckett and Taylor (2019, p. 195) quoted an African proverb ‘It takes a village to raise a child’, this expresses the importance of society in the development of children.

That is, the person as an individual is demarcated in their relationships with others, their networks, communities and personal and friendships, and personal relationships (Beckett and Taylor, 2019).
