Welcome to week 3

Welcome to week 3 of Tackling Antimicrobial Resistance: A Social Science Approach.

This week focuses on implementation and we introduce you to the theoretical approaches, and methods for data collection and analysis to assess the ‘adopting environment’. This includes the wider (macro-level) context including the health system and other influences, and the ‘adopters’ (micro-level) as individual healthcare professionals and as members of the healthcare organisation and patients and citizens.

You will also learn about the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR), which provides a useful overarching conceptualisation of implementation and reminds us to consider key domains to assure sustained adoption of evidence based interventions.

In the comments below please let us know:

  • Do you have any questions from week 2?
  • What was your key take-away message from last week?

We encourage you to interact with other learners by ‘liking’ and replying.
