Welcome to week 6

Interest in socially engaged art is growing rapidly among young artists in China. This week we will look at four projects where art school students or recent graduates have been the main creators:

  • “Nanting Research” by Chen Xiaoyang and students of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts,
  • “Diankou” by Song Zhen and students of China Academy of Art,
  • “Dinghaiqiao” by Chen Yun and young artists in Shanghai,
  • and “New Public Art Journeys” by volunteers of Zhejiang Art Museum.

We also want to encourage you to make a start, to initiate a project to address something that matters to you in your community.
