Has your theory of change changed?

Consider how your theory of change might have evolved during the course.
Theory of change diagram- consider the problem, then the results you want to achieve, finally think about the things you need to do to achieve the results.

It is important to continually review the design of your policy and/or programme. It’s never too early to start reflecting and refining.

Activity

Take a look at the Theory of Change (ToC) you created in Week 1 and reflect on some of the new aspects covered this week.

  • People centred and co-design approaches
  • Factors highlighted through your situation analysis
  • How you might measure change
  • Effective implementation
  • Strategic alignment and coherence

You can also start thinking more specifically about how policy, strategy and governance may influence your work. The following questions may help:

  • What are some of the key policy components to include?
  • Are there any specific local policy requirements, either at organisation or national level?
  • Any areas where policy might be useful or an existing policy utilised?
  • How will this impact your implementation methodology?

Update your theory of change accordingly and share any interesting reflections you have with others on the discussion board.
