Linking feedback with action
Once you have gathered feedback from the young people participating in your STEM activity and the educator, you need to combine their feedback with your self-reflection.
This process of combining feedback and interpreting it is known as feedback synthesis.
Synthesising these threads of feedback will enable you to gain a more comprehensive overview of your performance and the impact of the activity in terms of achieving the aims and objectives. This will allow you to identify any common themes and issues, both positive and negative and facilitate the development of an action plan to improve STEM activities in future and your evaluation of the experience as a whole.
This process could also contribute to your broader personal and professional skills development plan.
We will discuss what we mean by self-reflection in the next step.
