At the start of the course, we introduced the impact that you could make as a volunteer in STEM. We hope that you will continue your development with us.
You’ve learned how resources act as a starting point for practical activities with young people, and in the next course in this program you’ll look in detail at how to plan, deliver and review your volunteering activity.
In Week 2, you were introduced to some of the inclusivity and diversity issues you should be aware of as a volunteer. Remember, the most effective way of supporting diverse audiences of young people is to be aware of their context by discussing the backgrounds of young people with a teacher or group leader. Communicating with educators is covered in the next course.
