Arrangements for this unfacilitated run

An explanation of how this course will run as an "unfacilitated" course

This course has already run five times in the standard FutureLearn format since it first launched in March 2017. We are still keen for the material to be available for learners, but we have decided that the interest in the course doesn’t justify a facilitated run with substantial involvement, input and direction from the Educators. We have therefore decided to continue to offer the course but using the “unfaciliated” model.

The Educators won’t be able to join the discussions themselves or respond to individual comments, but the course encourages a strong learning community. The learning is focussed around debate and discussion – supporting other learners, sharing your own experience and knowledge, and listening to new perspectives. We hope that you will enjoy interacting with and learning from each other in this way. Don’t forget to comment, reply to other learners and ‘like’ comments.

To make things more interesting, occasionally, Mentors from different HPC institutions will appear to participate in the discussions.
