This week we are going to concentrate on Syria-Palestine. The region is not a superpower in its own right, but instead made up of city-states. It is very important to the course though, as this fertile area is coveted by all of our superpowers, and so becomes a common battlefield as warring factions attempt to get the upper hand in the region.
