Thank you for completing the fourth week of the course. I hope you found it informative and it has achieved its objective of starting to get you to think the changing nature of manufacturing.

We began by looking at what manufacturing is, and the often hidden but valuable role in plays in society. The trends towards more localised manufacturing were then discussed, before we reflected upon the future of manufacturing as we sit on the cusp of the 4th industrial revolution.

I look forward to seeing your one page summaries for the week, and how of the envisage the factory of the future to be.
