Thank you for completing the second week of the course. I hope you found it informative and it has achieved its objective of starting to get you to think the large invisible world of supply chain planning.

We began by looking at the fundamentals of planning, the need to balance demand and supply and the role that personality plays in the planning process. This was then brought to life through real life examples of the different supply chain responses required for different types of events. We then reflected that in our data rich world supply chains will become increasingly data driven, and the challenges and opportunities this presents.

I look forward to seeing your reflections on how you feel your personality affects your planning decisions and the impact this has on supply chains.
