Glossary of definitions

Plant science is full of specialist terminology, and we’ve introduced a lot of words through the quiz.

If you’ve noted down any terminology or answers in the quiz that you weren’t sure about, then here’s the perfect place to get some help from the mentors and other learners. In this step we’d like you to create a glossary of key plant science terms. This will be a valuable resource for both you and your students.

In the comments below, add a word or concept introduced so far in the course. Put one word or concept per comment (make multiple comments if you wish), but try not to replicate someone else’s contribution. Then, as a reply to someone else’s post, or your own if you wish, provide a definition.
