Devising a question to check understanding

While you were watching the three practicals in the previous steps, you considered the misconceptions which students might have.

The practicals are:

  • Using a respirometer
  • Germinating seeds in flasks
  • Gas exchange in plants

We’d like you to choose ONE of the practicals, and devise a diagnostic question which would probe your students understanding of the key concepts which the practical addresses.

Share your question below.

Now choose another learner’s question and consider what possible answers your students may give. Post these as a reply and suggest where you will go next with their learning based upon those answers.
