Record and Playback exemplar 1: persuasive language

This way of using Record and Playback can be used to evidence pupils' grasp of a topic as they make a short film about it.

Your pupils can create simple Record and Playback films that can be shared with other members of your class or even school community. Films that can act as a research tool, revision text or pupil led plenary.

Record and Playback films can be added to your school website for parents to watch and for pupils to reflect on when doing their homework.

For the above video pupils were tasked with creating a short film that highlighted the main characteristics of persuasive language. You can see that the end result is something that the teacher can not only use in the class environment for years to come but will also act as clear evidence of these pupils’ understanding of the topic of persuasive language.

How would you use this type of simple set up to illustrate a curricular topic?
