How does simulated data compare to 'real' data from an experiment.

How good is simulated data?

You should now have two sets of data for our experiment:

  • A set of ‘real’ data, collected using a spinner.
  • A set of simulated data, generated using a spreadsheet.

For this step, we want you to consider just one simple question:

  • If you did not already know, would you be able to say which set of data was real and which was simulated?
