Welcome to Week 2 of The Mind is Flat.

Last week, we focused on challenging the notion of ‘mental depth’. This suggested we do not really know how big or small anything is; how bright or dark anything is or how much we like or dislike something.

If this is right, how can we possibly make choices? This week we will see how the mind does not know the absolute value of anything, but what it can do is compare. You will see that having a ‘comparative’ mind has some strange consequences.

Hope you enjoy it!
