This week, we’re going to talk about the relativity of the mind.

You’ve heard about relativity in physics, of course, and luckily, relativity in the context of psychology is much simpler to understand and also very much more intuitive. But it turns out to be astonishingly important. The paradox I’m going to start with was first noted by the great economist, Richard Easterlin.
