End of Week 1

We hope that you have enjoyed the first week of the course. You should now have a basic understanding of how vaccines work, the impact of currently used vaccines on our health and the importance of vaccine schedules and implementation.

Next week we will discuss what happens when vaccine schedules break down and the reasons for this. Finally, we will consider the roles of vaccines in the future. How can vaccines help in our battle against antimicrobial resistance?
