Five Ways to Learn More

Discover the five ways to learn more.
Number five peeling

We hope you’ll enjoy the rest of the course. If you get really interested in the subject, there’s a lot more you can learn and do, and here are five actions you can take now. These are optional and you don’t need to do them to complete the course, but if week 1 has left you hungry for more, why not try one or more of these?

1. Dive deeper
We run a pioneering MSc course in brand leadership at UEA, where you can dig deeper into the ideas in this course. Graduates go on to great jobs at places like Google, L’Oréal and Virgin Atlantic.

2. Follow us
There’s always good new thinking on the UEA and Wolff Olins blogs. Or you can follow Robert, Peter, UEA Moocs and the MSc in brand leadership on Twitter.

3. Get hands-on
Check out General Assembly, which has campuses in eight cities around the world, and offers classes on digital marketing. Online, Skillshare has lots of classes on business, advertising and design. iTunes U has dozens of business courses, through the iTunes Store. And Kahn Academy has material on entrepreneurship.

4. Take the plunge
If you’re not already in the branding industry, and you’d like to join it, the places to start are, of course, LinkedIn and Monster. It’s worth joining some of the LinkedIn groups that specialise in branding.

For jobs on the client side, Procter & Gamble and Unilever are good places to start. On the agency side, look at big consultancies like Superunion, Futurebrand, Interbrand, Landor, Siegel+Gale and Wolff Olins.

5. Do it yourself
Put the theory and tools you’ll learn over the next six weeks into action – start your own brand or business. There’s plenty of help in weeks 3 and 4. And let us know how you get on.
