Heat capacity of ideal gases

For ideal gases, the relationship between ${C}$${p}$ and ${C}$${v}$ is

${C}$${p}$ - ${C}$${v}$ = ${R}$

The ideal gases have specific heat capacities

monoatomic ideal gas ∶  ${C}$${v}$ = $\frac{3}{2}$ ${R}$,  ${C}$${p}$ = $\frac{5}{2}$ ${R}$

diatomic ideal gas∶  ${C}$${v}$ = $\frac{5}{2}$ ${R}$,  ${C}$${p}$ = $\frac{7}{2}$ ${R}$
