Welcome to Week 2 of Training and Development at Work: An Introduction.

At the beginning Week 1, we asked you the following big question:

Training: is it just a waste of time and money?

This week, we continue to explore this big question by examining two models for training design: instructional design system and performance-based instructional design.

We will also discuss a variety of training methods, along with their associated advantages and disadvantages.

Finally, we will explore the application of sound psychological principles to training, such as imitation, guidance, feedback and reinforcement.
