This week we’ve discovered how to find out what’s in your food and how to make effective use of the nutrition declaration to help you work out the levels of the different nutrients you’re consuming. We’ve discussed ingredients and what some of those with strange names are as well as looking at the reasons they’re there, their drawbacks and health implications. And we’ve explained the difference between nutrition and health claims and the regulations that limit the ways manufacturers market their products.
You’ll now be more confident decoding ingredients lists and be equipped to choose foods that don’t take your daily consumption of the various nutrients above your Reference Intake levels.
