Live events

Read about the live events we organise for you during the course.

During the next six weeks we’ll organise some events to answer as many of your questions as we can.

Lots of you have similar questions about the IELTS test or about studying English in general and it isn’t always possible to answer every question asked on the course. That’s why we have other events where we can answer some of the most common questions.

We do this in three ways:

Facebook Clinics

In Facebook clinics we use the British Council’s LearnEnglish Facebook page to answer questions. If you are on Facebook you can ask questions to the educators and we’ll do our best to answer them for you. If you don’t have a Facebook account or you can’t attend the live Clinic, you can read all the questions and answers that we’ll share with you after the event.

Where and when?
On Thursday 16 February we held our first live Facebook Clinic of the course and we were really pleased by the number of people who joined us and asked lots of great questions about IELTS and language learning. Thanks to you all for helping to make the clinic such a success. Don’t worry if you missed it, you can view the the discussion on the Facebook page here.

Talking of Facebook, don’t forget that we have an IELTS MOOC Study group which you can join to meet up with other learners, help each other and share ideas.

Facebook Live

On Thursday 23 February we held our first Facebook Live broadcast of the course where we broadcast live streaming of our educators answering your questions. You can find the details on Step 2.2.

Video Q & A

In Week 3 we will record a video to answer your questions.

Look out for the Video Question and Answer step in Week 3 of the course. Leave your questions there and we’ll record a video where we do our best to answer them.
