The Global Study Awards

What are The Global Study Awards?

Winners of a Global Study Award, like Miriam, receive an award of up to £10,000 to study abroad in any country on any undergraduate or postgraduate course.

British Council IELTS together with the International Student Identity Card and StudyPortals launched these awards to support highly motivated, talented individuals and help them experience and explore new countries, cultures and languages.

Who are they looking for?

Those highly motivated, talented individuals should be able to demonstrate:

• their potential to contribute to society through their studies
• a strong commitment to developing their career
• their sincere interest in increasing intercultural understanding and exchange.

When’s the deadline?

Applications are open now and there are two Global Study Awards (GSA) available this round. The deadline for applications is 27 November, and this is for students who will start studying in Spring 2018.

A selection panel comprised of representatives from the partners will review and assess all entries. Strong candidates will be shortlisted and invited for an in person interview prior to the final winning selection. The winners will be announced within 3 months after the application deadline.
