Live events

Read about the live events we organise for you during the course.

During the next six weeks we’ll organise some events to answer as many of your questions as we can.

Lots of you have similar questions about the IELTS test or about studying English in general and it isn’t always possible to answer every question asked on the course. That’s why we have other events where we can answer some of the most common questions.

We do this in two ways:

Facebook Clinics

We use the British Council’s LearnEnglish Facebook page to answer questions in Facebook Clinics. If you are on Facebook, you can ask questions to the educators live and we’ll answer them for you. If you don’t have a Facebook account or you can’t attend the live Clinic, you can read all the questions and answers here in a PDF transcript after the event.

On Tuesday 18th October we held our first live Facebook Clinic of the course and we were delighted by the number of people who joined us and asked questions about IELTS and language learning. Thanks to you all for helping to make the clinic such a success. Don’t worry if you missed it, you can find a full PDF transcript here including all the questions, answers and links to resources. You can also view the the discussion on the Facebook page here.

Talking of Facebook, don’t forget that we have an IELTS MOOC Study group which you can join to meet up with other learners, help each other and share ideas.

Video Q & A

We also record videos to answer your questions.

Look out for the Video Question and Answer steps on the course. Leave your questions there and we’ll record a video to answer them. The first Video Q & A step is in Week 2 and you can find the details on Step 2.2.
