Skip to 0 minutes and 6 secondsWILL BAKER: Now we'd like to invite you to join us in shaping the future of English. As you've just heard us discussing, we're involved in a research project looking at English language policy and orientations towards language. And we'd like you to take part in a similar project we're doing but this time exploring language policies and practises and orientations in your own setting. So that could be another university, it could be a school-- either a primary or a secondary or any kind of school, really-- it could be a private language college, or whatever your workplace setting is. So, over to you. We would like you participate in a survey and help shape the future of English.

Skip to 0 minutes and 47 secondsWe're going to be following our university's strict ethical requirements, so any answers you give will be anonymous and confidential. However, we will be asking some of you follow-up questions and for further information-- if you are willing to do that, of course. If you have any questions at any time about the research, then please feel free to contact us, and we will leave you details of how to do that. What about afterwards? Well, once we've got all the data in and we've done the analysis, we will of course share our findings with you. So we'll do this through the Centre for Global Englishes website and also through our Facebook page.

In this video, Will Baker invites you to join our live and current research project.

Thank you for your responses to our survey. We have now closed it so that we can start analysing the data.

This course will run again next year and at that point, we will aim to update you with interim results - so remember to sign up again in April!
