Welcome to the course

In this course, you will explore the rise of this new empowerment era and the key role that HR practitioners play in it. The course will give you the insights to realise the benefits of modern empowerment for individuals, organisations and society.

While much of this course will be focused on trends happening in the UK, it does highlight an emerging global business environment where themes of empowerment are becoming increasingly important.

The course team

Robert Craw has been teaching for 15 years, with The Open University, Faculty of Business and Law and the City of Glasgow College. Previously worked for over 20 years as a senior manager for an international courier delivery company.

Katharine Jewitt is an educational technology and management consultant and visiting Honorary Associate at The Open University. She is a PhD researcher in virtual reality, editing, lecturing & writing. She is also a fellow of the RSA, HEA and SET.
