Skip to 0 minutes and 10 seconds SPEAKER 1: If you feel sadder than usual or don’t experience any pleasure anymore, you may suffer from a depression. No one is happy all the time– that’s a part of life and doesn’t have to mean that you are depressed. What is a depression and how do you recognise one? That is what this model is about. Depressions occur frequently, and it’s very well possible that you are depressed at the moment or have been depressed before or that you know someone who is depressed. If so, you may have many questions such as is it possible to be a little depressed? Are some people more likely to become depressed than others? What can I do to prevent or cure a depression?
Skip to 0 minutes and 56 seconds At the end of this module, you will have answers to all these questions. But first, let’s have a look at what depression actually is.
In this video Tineke Oldehinkel explains what you will learn about depression in this module.
You will get answers to the following questions:
- Can you also be a bit depressed?
- Do some people have a bigger chance of becoming depressed than others?
- What can I do to prevent becoming depressed?
