Skip to 0 minutes and 10 seconds SPEAKER 1: If you are afraid to fail, you probably want to avoid the situation, but don’t. You won’t get rid of your fear that way. Keep trying. By doing something again and again, you’ll get used to it. You’ll get used to the fact that sometimes you do well and sometimes less well. You will notice an occasional poor performance is not the end of the world. This way your confidence will grow, and you’ll become less anxious.

Skip to 0 minutes and 33 seconds SPEAKER 2: Don’t demand too much for yourself. You don’t have to perform perfectly. Other people won’t so you don’t have to either. If you’re doing your best, that’s enough. And don’t worry about other people noticing that you’re nervous. They’re not going to like you less because of this. They’ll probably even like you more. A good way to deal with stress is to tell people if you’re nervous, then you won’t have to care about them noticing or really caring.

Skip to 1 minute and 0 seconds SPEAKER 3: Fear of failure causes stress. Stress makes your brain work worse making it even harder to perform well. Try to avoid these stress overdoses by not preparing for tests and speeches for hours but instead take breaks. You could go outside or listen to music. Relaxation exercises are also great for lowering stress.
