Diagnosing ADHD

You just experienced that it is not that easy to diagnose someone with ADHD. Doing a self-test or filling in a questionnaire is not enough.

Also for parents it is hard to determine whether their child is just very active, or that there may be more going on. Just because the ADHD diagnosis is based on behaviour all of us show at times, or always show in specific situations, you need an expert, like a doctor or psychologist to be able to determine if someone has ADHD. Such a person can determine how severe the symptoms are and in what way they hinder the daily life of someone.
