And there's so much to read on the internet. What we do know is that ADHD is largely genetically determined, which means that you have a greater chance of having ADHD when a sibling or one of your parents has ADHD. But that isn't always the case. Even in identical twins, who share the same genetic background, sometimes only one of them gets ADHD. We also know that ADHD isn't caused by bad parenting. A calm home and a good relationship if you're parents is important for every child, with or without ADHD.
