Develop the skills required to tackle emergencies quickly and efficiently
With 24-hour news accessible through a single click, we often find ourselves looking helplessly at our screens as emergencies unfold.
The actions taken in the initial minutes of an emergency are key. Whether they’re earthquakes, transport incidents or floods, if you want to play an active part preparing for those risks and get involved in emergency response, this degree could be for you.
The degree is practitioner-facing and uses case studies in conjunction with theory and concepts, to ensure your preparedness for real-life emergencies.
Normally a 2:2 undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline. Applicants with a lower class of degree and/or with a qualification in other subject areas will be individually considered and will usually be interviewed prior to being offered a place on the course. A relevant work experience and/or a professional development qualification will also be considered.
Applicants whose first language is not English should have an IELTS of 6.5 overall, with no component lower than 5.5.
