To ensure you’re ready to take on the industry’s biggest projects, this programme offers you a chance to pre-produce and produce a short cinematic or televisual piece or screenplay. You’ll apply your media studies insights and film techniques while mirroring film and television industry workflows.

How will you be assessed?
To ensure you’re best prepared to step foot in the competitive film and television industries, this online programme will challenge you to think and work in new and innovative ways. You’ll be assessed through various end-of-module assignments, essays and reflections, critical debates, and portfolio practice.
You’ll learn from a blend of lectures, webinars, guest talks, and creative practice, via Falmouth University’s cutting-edge virtual learning environment. What’s more, you’ll have access to project mentoring and peer feedback, ensuring a well-rounded development and successful completion of your final project.
Is this a part-time or full-time degree?
This course meets you where you are in life, allowing you the flexibility to work through modules part-time over two years. You’ll complete five modules, including a final project, consisting of approximately 15 weeks of study each. While you can complete this online degree at your own pace, it’s encouraged you dedicate at least 20-25 hours per week to your studies.
Higher education requirements:
To join this course, you’ll need an honours degree or Level 6 equivalent qualification in any discipline. If you don’t have a formal qualification, Falmouth still encourages non-standard applicants to apply. You can speak with an advisor about your entry prospects.
As part of your application, you’ll be required to provide a body of work, along with a 250-word summary of your contribution to the project, that showcases your commitment to the craft of moving. This can be in the form of a screenplay, film, showreel, or a piece of writing demonstrating your knowledge of film theory.
Language requirements:
If English is not your first language, you’ll need to demonstrate an English language level equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or above, with a minimum of 5.5 for writing, reading and listening, and 6.0 for speaking. We also accept a range of other recognised English language qualifications.

The total tuition fee is £12,150.
