#FutureLearnAsks songwriting Twitter chat: the highlights

To celebrate the launch of The University of Sheffield’s course How to Write Your First Song, this #FutureLearnAsks Twitter Chat explored the art of songwriting.

Along with guest contributors Adam Wright (Lead Educator on How to Write Your First Song) and Sheffield-based musician Kate Jackson, the chat drew on the experience of songwriters from all over the world – some more seasoned, and some just starting out. We covered a variety of topics, including the line between plagiarism and inspiration, and how many songwriters secretly hope to make it big one day…

Thanks again to everyone who took part. Catch up with the conversation as it happened via the #FutureLearnAsks hashtag, or if this chat has stimulated your interest in songwriting, why not learn How To Write Your First Song?
