Ruth Trundley closes week 1 and looks to week 2
0.1
Hopefully you’ve enjoyed week one and are ready to observe your focus learners in the lesson. Remember to add any relevant information from your observations to your pen portraits and use your journal throughout the week to capture any reflections you may have. In week two will explore pre-teaching in depth and prepare you to use this strategy with your focus learners

Download the observation sheet and use this to record observations of your focus learners in a lesson or film them in a lesson and watch the clip. Add any relevant information to their pen portraits.

Do you feel you’ve been able to identify key learners who would benefit from a pre-teaching session?
Next week, we will look in more depth at pre-teaching and how this can raise the status of your learners.
