Examining case studies and applying your learning
It examines:
- The problem the digital technology is implemented to address
- How the project or programme using digital technologies relates to an SDG.
- How the digital technology is rolled out as part of a broader programme or project.
- What types of social, political and institutional considerations, challenges and barriers have to be addressed and overcome to successfully administer the program.
- How successfully the program contributes to the SDG(s).
The case study method will engage you, as a learner, with specific scenarios and real-world examples. You will engage with the limits and challenges of digital technologies, and see how they amplify social impact. Each case study includes lessons for organisations about how the implementation of digital technology could be rolled out in other contexts, as well as questions for you to consider.
The course has been designed to engage you as an individual (a learner and a concerned and engaged citizen of the world), or as an employee or organisational leader. We will ask you to reflect on the modules either from the perspective of an individual or the organisation throughout the course.
