What is EWMA?
In this video, Professor Finn Gottrup gives a brief introduction on the European Wound Management Association (EWMA).
EWMA is a European not-for-profit umbrella organisation, linking national wound management organisations, individuals and groups with interest in wound care.

EWMA focuses on many areas related to wound care, including:

EU engagement and creating awareness on issues of antimicrobial resistance and Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs).

Promoting science and best practice by extensive publications.
Along with the British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (BSAC), EWMA launched the antimicrobial stewardship programme for wound management: aiming to reduce inappropriate use of antimicrobials by promoting, facilitating and teaching good antimicrobial practice.
