As the ideal complement and extension to this online course you are invited to register your interest in attending our face-to-face residential Assessment with No Levels course.
Teachers or technicians working in state-funded schools in the UK [changed] are eligible for an Enthuse Award bursary which can be used to contribute to covering the cost of course fees, supply cover, travel, accommodation, or equipment for your school. The bursary available for this course is £1445.

Assessment with No Levels – Summary

How do you assess progress when there are no levels? How can you make assessment purposeful and beneficial to students’ development in science?
Participants will explore strategies which will enable them to lead their colleagues in embedding Assessment for Learning (AfL) practices in science. You will also be able to feel secure in your understanding of how to make judgements on students’ progress. Sessions will include how to embed AfL strategies, establish a climate for learning and explore the skills required to effectively lead a team with implementing this change.
This is a residential course, fees include meals and accommodation for the duration of the course. Course fees vary for participants outside the UK.

Assessment with No Levels – Outcomes

You will be able to:
  • apply current research on AfL to your classroom practice
  • use a wide variety of AfL teaching strategies to promote students’ learning in science
  • create a climate for learning
