Congratulations, you have now completed this course on Batteries for the energy transition.

In this video, Professor Ulla Lassi concluded the content of the course, as she summarised the materials we have covered over the last four weeks.

We have looked at the need for batteries as we search for renewable sources of energy, and we looked at the various types of batteries, their components parts and the materials they are made with. We also discussed recycling and sustainability in the battery value chain.

Having completed this course, you should now be able to:

  • Identify the basic components of a battery
  • Describe how batteries work
  • Discuss current challenges facing the production and application of batteries.
  • Engage discussions concerning sustainability in the battery value chain
  • Explore more knowledge about the technologies.

If you do not feel confident in your achievement of these objectives, we would encourage you to return and review the relevant materials.

We hope you have enjoyed your studies with us and we wish you the best with your future endeavours.
