Occupational health is knowledge which is very important. With this kind of competence used, lives can be saved. We can be reminded of the importance every day, while reading the news. The world today is filled with situations with accidents and diseases at work that could have been prevented. We give you two examples here, from the news. This is just to underline that we need your knowledge to improve the working life.

Mines

CNN reports in 2024 that more than 40 workers were killed in an artisanal mine collapse in Mali.

Fires and firefighters

The website Deutsche Welle (DW) reports in 2024 about several building blazes in the world. Each incident claimed dozens of lives – workers in the factories, firefighters, people living nearby Fires in Asia, in Bangladesh.
