Alternative sources of support

Dr Maren Deepwell explains the role that the Association of Learning Technologists plays in supporting practice in this area.

One such organisation in the UK is the Association of Learning Technologists (ALT). In this video, ALT’s chief executive, Dr Maren Deepwell introduces us to ALT’s work. As you watch, pay attention to what she says about:

  • ALT’s definition of learning technology
  • recent trends, especially in relation to blended and hybrid learning
  • ALT’s Ethical Learning Framework.

Please feel free to use ‘comments’ to share your thoughts about any of the issues discussed by Dr Deepwell. What independent organisations and associations support work in the area of educational technology in your own country?
