This second week is focused on acquiring some basic knowledge about how the central nervous system is formed which will help us to address our main objective of the course, which is the study of neurodegenerative diseases.

In this way we will review its main components and the cells that form it: the neuron and the glial cells, studying, in addition, the main function function of each one of them. On the other hand, it is necessary to know how information is transmitted through the nervous system, since this process is fundamental to understand how the main brain functions develop. UAn outstanding activity of this week will be the performance of the lamb brain dissection that we proposed last week. Those of you who do not have a brain can follow the activity normally by watching the corresponding video.
