Community protection plans

An understanding of bushfire risks is crucial for communities to better prepare and is essential for resilience to bushfires. Community Protection plans provide information that can help communities identify at risk facilities such as schools, hospitals, nursing homes, childcare centres etc. Community Protection Plans provide available options before and after the impact of bushfires. Plans also act as a guide to access areas and various ways through which individuals within bushfire prone communities can exit/escape in the event of a bushfire.

This short video from the Victorian Government highlights community bushfire responses.
